First Time Visitor?

On your first visit you will likely notice friendly people handing out the morning bulletins. Our greeters or one of our Deacons may invite you to fill out a small form to help us get to know you. This is not to pressure you, but we do want you to feel welcome. It helps us to remember your name and if you show interest in some of our activities, we will know how to reach you.

Part way into the morning, children are invited to come to the front pews to hear a special children's message by Pastor Dan and to sing a song with his guitar. Once the children are dismissed to Sunday School downstairs, this is the time for us to greet one another. You will then see people moving about the sanctuary to offer warm greetings and handshakes. Everyone loves this time of the service so much, that it is sometimes a challenge to get everyone quiet again to hear the morning sermon.

Pastor Dan enjoys teaching through the Bible by what is known as "exegetical teaching." That means he chooses a passage of scripture and tries to help us understand the background, context of the verses, and explore the depths of meaning found in them. He loves God's word and enjoys offering us a spiritual "meal" that everyone -- spiritual seekers as well as seasoned believers -- can relate to. He is not afraid to tackle some of the hard questions of life and faith, while accepting that some matters are too big to reduce to formulas and trite solutions.

We try to incorporate traditional hymns and a contemporary song or two so everyone can have an opportunity to worship God in a form of music they enjoy most. Whether old or young or in-between, you will hopefully come away feeling loved and inspired to grow in your relationship with God.

January 19, 2021

Due to the COVID-19 virus concerns, we have decided to close on-site church activities for the next few weeks. Pastor Dan will still be recording inspiring messages and putting them on our website under: Sermons: This Week. Feel free to call or email Pastor Dan if you have any special needs.

When we start up again, you are invited tojoin us for Sunday morning worship at 10:30 a.m.. The Children's Message will be around 10:50, followed by Sunday School downstairs. We also have a nursery available during the entire service for children under age 3. To learn more about our Children's Ministry, see Children's Programs.

Bible Study will be suspended for the next few weeks, but will start up again when it is safe and prudent to do so. Our intent was to continue through the end of May, from 7:00 to 8:30. Hopefully those of you who normally attend can continue to study at home. Pastor Dan has been leading us in studying the book of James.
